Sabotage Reviews

As you may already know, I recently started writing chapbook and performance poetry reviews for the folk over at Sabotage. One of my recent reviews has just gone up on the site and I though I’d share it here as well as link up to the other reviews I’ve done recently. So here goes…

(WordPress appears to be being a pain in the arse today so you’ll have to have them in a column rather than a row, you have no idea just how much that row formation irritates me). Anyway, Poems of Yves Bonnefoy 2 is the most recent review I’ve written. In fact, I bumped into Ian Brinton whilst volunteering at the Poetry Book Fair in London and we had a good chat about the difficulties of translating Bonnefoy’s work.

I’ve also started writing reviews of performance poetry which has been very interesting. I’d never really engaged with this kind of poetry until recently – opting instead a quiet collection by the bedside – but I’m really starting to enjoy it. There are differences between performance poetry and written poetry, though I don’t feel I’ve experienced quite enough performance to really pin down what the differences are yet. For another post, I guess! Anywhere, here’s what we have so far:

Only the one so far, but there’s plenty more coming!
